As you plan your kitchen remodel, you may want to consider if a double-tiered island is right for you. It can:

  • increase the usable counter space in a kitchen;
  • provide additional seating in a smaller footprint than counter height or table seating
  • act as a natural barrier between the seating and the cooking or food preparation areas;
  • invite visitors to naturally congregate along this second level.
